Ok, one day in elementary school you had your first test. It was only a few questions and the material was easy; but what do you do? Now, I know that the teacher mentioned she wanted you to study the material–but how?
You evolve, and are now a High School student. You have learned that studying is just re-reading the material and doing a few random questions in the chapter reviews. You are doing ok; you have very few complaints about your grades. Ok, maybe one or two.
Now, do you drive across states before taking the class? No. Do you program computers before learning how to type? No. However, you study for a test before you understand what studying really is—How crazy!
Test Taking Strategies was designed to help students study effectively by teaching them how to study properly and effectively in any time frame. This short, compact, and easy-to-read book will help any and every student learn to study correctly and shave hours off thier study time.
I used this book as I was studying for my Network+ certification; at this point, I now have my certification and I am glad I purchased this book (for me, an earlier edition was only $10). This book taught me study techniques as well as test-taking strategies. I was impressed with the simplicity and brevity of the material in the book. Not just a “before you take this test” handout; Test Taking Strategies is a comprehensive manual that will show you how to study.
IMHO, this book is worth triple the price easily!

Nice to put a face with a method. So many people trying to sell forex courses are too far out of touch. Thanks Nial.
fear of looking bad; most couldn't get past the "pass or fail" of the testtaking and would never get to the actual lesson learned
Create free online training and offer some certification or completion recognition that includes embeddable HTML content (similar to the quiz badge) for people to put on their site, blog or profile. Create a tool to help solve a problem …
First you need to draw the pictures, then use all the 180 facts. Remember, bisect means cut in half, and triangles by sides are either scalene, equilateral, or isosceles.
Cloud sounds good, but it’s still often a brick-and-mortar decision.
haha! my testtaking technique is replaying that's-what-she-said's over and over in my head until I'm excited. LOL I love you guys.

It took nearly half a century for traditional media like TV and radio to secure a prominent place among marketers for their brand strategies.
DRINK LOTS OF COFFEE…
or you could just sleep well.
be calm, collected, and undistracted. dont pressure yourself to do well on the test, just do the test to the best of your abilities. Stressing just makes people second guess and get confused. if you know the material, just regurgitate. if you dont, then eliminate answers you know to be wrong and guess away!
Show how you can eliminate one or two of the answer choices for each
multiple-choice question.
1. What is the solution to ?
A. -13 B. -10 C. 11 D. 14
To get -4 you are going to make the fraction an improper. What over -3 equals -4…..12 (12/-3=-4) So your answer is D…14 (14-2)/-3=-4
2. What is the solution to x – 0.15x = 680?
F. 620 G. 675 H. 760 I. 800
Solution is .85x=680 so you know the original has to be more than 680. Answer is I….800 (800*.85=680)
3. On a field trip to the zoo, 21 students voted to have sandwiches
for lunch. This represents of the class. How many students are in
the class?
A. 24 B. 25 C. 38 D. 40
21/7=3 3*8=24 Answer A….24 24*(7/8)=21
4. The area of a rectangle is 64 in.2. If the area is increased by 25%,
which of the following could be the dimensions of the new rectangle?
F. 6 in. by 8 in. G. 10 in. by 8 in. H. 10 in. by 10 in. I. 8 in. by 8 in.
25% of 64 is 16….64+16=80 Answer is G….10 by 8

Handicapping is a tough game. I have been following Horse Racing for 30 years since I was a little kid and even the best of Handicappers do not win all of the time. For Handicapping, I would suggest reading the books of Andrew Beyer. Andrew Beyer is known by many as the "godfather" of modern handicapping theory. The Beyer speed rating which is given in the Daily Racing Form is critical to handicapping a race correctly.
Too hard to teach 30 years, in a paragraph, because there are too many factors involved. You need to look at track bias, length of the race, breeding (long distance runner vs. short sprint type of runner), position of the horse at the gate (typically shorter races do not favor gate positions on the outside because the horse has further to travel), type of track (turf vs. dirt) and finally trainer and jockey standings. I know this may seem overwhelming but after a while of practice you can put all the pieces together and be successful at the track.
Hope this helps.
There are no winning strategies for a game that has rules to assure that the house has a nice winning percentage. Best advice is to try a game of skill like poker or sports betting.
1)
To figure out how to arrange this problem into equations using only one variable, try to find a distance or a value that can be related to other values/distances. In this case BC can be related to both AB and CD.
AB can be expressed this way: BC + 15
CD can be expressed this way: BC + 8
So just treat BC as the variable "X".
2)
Hopefully you know your way around the Pythagorean Theorem because this equation could help you with this problem. You're essentially trying to find the distance between Point A and Point N.
First you should find the distance for line AB and line BN.
To do this, split the right triangle into two smaller right triangles by making a line from Point B to the coordinate (3,0). You now have enough information to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuses (sp?) of the two smaller right triangles.
Since the two hypotenuses are lines AB and BN, you can then use the P T once more to find the hypotenuse (line AN) of the original, larger right triangle.
3)
The three angles of a triangle must equal 180 degrees. If you have three numbers and are told they are consecutive even integers, you can express them (using a variable, x) like so: x, x+2, x+4.
4)
Graph point C.
Draw a line from Point C to the coordinate (7,0).
Name the line "Line CA"
Figure out the distance of Line CA.
Using the distance of Line CA and using the distance of 13 as a hypotenuse, find the distance of the other side of a right triangle using the PT.
Once you get that distance, subtract that value from the number 7 to find a point on the x-axis (which is to the left of Line CA ) and add that value to 7 to find another point on the x-axis (which is to the right of Line CA ).
5)
Okay, so I was able to solve this problem but it is so friggin complicated to explain (based on the way I approached the problem) I will have to give you a basic explanation, along with the answer. Hopefully you will be diligent enough to use the answer I have given to figure out how to solve a problem like it in the future.
So…
I drew a straight line down form each of the points
Now i have 2 vertical lines and can name them AF and BG
AF has a distance of 4 and BG has a distance of 10.
Slopes are equal to the ratio of rise over run, or y/x
We have two Y values (4 and 10)
Now we need to find the two x values.
One of the x values can be named PG
The other can be named PF
No matter where point P is on the x-axis (assuming P is to the left of Line AF), PG will always be 8 units longer than PF.
So substituting for PF, we have (PG –
So let's set up the equations:
10/PG = x
4/(PG –
= 2x
where "X" represents slope
According to the two equations, 4/(PG –
is equal to two times 10/PG.
4/(PG –
= 20/PG
Cross multiply to get:
4PG = 20PG – 160
PG ends up being 10
…which means Point P is at the coordinate (-1, 0)
Could you hold my wallet while I take the test, please? There’s $1,000 in there. Or maybe there isn’t.
hi.. if you go onto Sam learning or bbc bitesize it would help you i think:)
